I really like davydenko doesn’t have very powerful shots but he has an amazing footwork thus good court coverage and can generate very good angles with his topspin forehand and has a very consistent game hope you’re back in the top 10 in 2012!

@dwilliams02 man you know nothing wtf!? Roger is so not too old! And rafa knows how to handle his body now… and roger, rafa, nole and andy will dominate the tour for sure if they’re in good condition they’re the best!
Just enjoy the year: it’s Roger’s!

  • By dwilliams02, July 20, 2012 @ 10:47 am

Roger still has some years in him, no doubt about it. I think he’ll win another 2-4 slams. Rafa’s kind of on the same clock as Fed though. Even though the Swiss is so much older, he has maintained his level of play far better than most players as he has aged. It’s not unusual for a player to start to go away completely around 27, especially one with Rafa’s playstyle/injury history. Andy and Nole will be the princes of tennis with guys like Soderling, DelPo, Tsonga, or Cilic winning occasionally.

  • By JForcE777, July 20, 2012 @ 11:22 am

I agree that Del Po probably won’t be the dominant player on tour, because his big body will let him down, but when he’s on he can beat anybody as he’s proved. I still think Roger has at least 2 years left of top 5/10 level tennis and Rafa will cut down on matches to maintain his health and avoid injury for a couple years. I still think Roger and Nadal will combine to win 3 of the majors, and Djoko or Murray winning another.

  • By dwilliams02, July 20, 2012 @ 11:27 am

Del Po will never dominate the tour like Fed did for years, nor like Nadal in 08 and 2010, but he’s got the game to beat anyone and he is far more committed to the sport than Safin was. I would be surprised if he doesn’t win at least 3 or 4 Slams in his career. I think in the next year we’re going to see the end of the Fedal era. Rog is too old to dominate and Rafa’s health will betray him. They’ll still win, but not every Slam. Either Nole or Murray, or both, will win at least one in 2011.

  • By kazukiyushibobo, July 20, 2012 @ 11:55 am

The thing I don’t get is people keep saying JMDP will dominate the tour in the future, seriously?? Do you really think someone as tall as him will tear up the fedal era? Safin would be a good example, and for wimbeldon, NO, not for now, Rafa/Roger wil school him HARD.

  • By BrainSane237, July 20, 2012 @ 12:10 pm

    Agreed.
Federer’s amount of errors was too high.
Otherwise, he would’ve deserved this title, but Nikolay definitely deserved it.

once davydenko was asked in a interview(when he was ranked as number 3) who does he think its the best player in the worlod. His answer was i am the best in the world federer and nadal are aliens.
